Miles Carroll (MD)
Miles joined UPG in August 2009 as MD. Miles started life in banking for Rothschild,
before moving into technology with IBM and has worked in the area of fraud and
payments since 2003 as both a provider of systems to banks and larger merchants;
and more recently as the MD of an issuer of cards. As Managing Director, he continues
to build UPG’s position as one of the UK's largest IP payment gateways. Miles
is married with two daughters and outside of work, is a keen (but not that good)
horse rider and snow-skier.
Peter Finney
Peter joined UPG in May 2006 and has over 15 years experience in software design and
development. His previous role was managing application development for the global
insurance market. Previous experience includes freelance work for the aerospace industry
along with lead roles producing software for the legal, conveyancing and manufacturing
industries. Peter is a specialist in modular application design and database optimisation
and is currently developing embedded applications for credit card terminals.
Ross Leak
Ross joined UPG in April 2008 and has over 11 years experience in the IT industry.
His previous role was as a Technical Consultant for a national IT solutions
provider assigned to a key corporate FTSE client. Working closely with this
customer he was responsible for the planning, development, installation and
support of new and existing technologies across multiple sites within the
organisation. He has also gained experience working closely with stock broker
clients in London supporting and securing their networks. Ross sees his role
at UPG as an excellent platform to implement his existing experience in the
industry, but also as an opportunity to further enhance and develop new skills
Nils Wyldbore
Nils joined the company in December 2006 and has been developing and supporting
IT applications in a professional capacity since 1997. His previous role was
as the IT Manager / Senior Developer with a response handling and data processing
company, where he was in charge of the IT processes involved in processing large
volumes of data, including payments, for a number of major national charities.
He has also gained experience working within a number of different industries
including insurance and conveyancing. In his spare time, Nils works for a youth
charity where he assists in training young people in outward bound and interpersonal
skills as well as raising money in sponsored events.
